My Diploma will allow me to have a career in the Marketing industry.
Marketing is needed in almost every company; from retail to banks to hotels. Therefore, I believe that upon graduating, I would have a wide sector to choose from. During my IPP attachment, I was able to work with HSBC. I grew fond of the work culture even though there was a lot of work to do. But being able to get a taste of working in HSBC's Marketing Department, makes me want to find a job in the banking industry as a Marketing Manager. I would however need to develop myself in leadership areas through experience and attending trainings/workshops so that I can work towards that goal.
But What do I REALLY want to do?
I have always wanted to travel and go to places that I have never been. Living in Singapore can be quite stressful. Therefore, I will try to make it a point to get out of the country at least once a year for some rest and relaxation. Even a short getaway to the neighboring country will do so that I can recharge myself. I am currently saving money for my trip to Bali, Indonesia in October as a reward for all the hard work I have done in the past 2 semesters.
So far I have been to different parts of Malaysia, Indonesia (Jakarta, Bintan, Batam), Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket), Australia (Gold Coast, Brisbane), India (Bangalore, Chennai), USA (San Francisco, Orlando, Las Vegas, New York). I want to add on to the list of countries and cities that I have visited especially those in Europe. It would be even better if I can find a job that allows me to travel or if I have the opportunity to work overseas, I will definitely pursue it.
